Tinsley Randolph Harrison Scholarship

Description

Applicant should rank in top 5% of class, have a composite ACT score of 28-36 (combined SAT I score of 1150-1400), have leadership ability, and be planning a career in medicine. Selection is based upon academic qualifications.

Ronne and Donald Hess Scholarship in Computer Science

Description

Applicant should rank in top fifth of class, have a minimum composite ACT score of 26 (combined SAT I score of 1050), and have leadership ability. Awarded to winner of Computer Programming Competition sponsored by Division of Science and Mathematics.

Fine and Performing Arts Scholarship

Description

Applicant must participate in Fine Arts Scholarship Day on campus and audition or submit portfolio.

Eagle Scout Scholarship

Description

Applicant must be an Eagle Scout member of the Boy Scouts. Selection is based upon academic record, standardized test scores, and recommendations.

Girl Scout Gold Award

Description

Applicant must be a Gold Award member of the Girl Scouts be able to demonstrate academic strength and promise, and be accepted for admission as a freshman in the fall of the award year. Selection is based upon academic record, standardized test scores, and recommendations.

Miss Alabama Pageant Scholarship

Description

Maximum award is given to Miss Alabama. The next 10 finalists are eligible for a nonrenewable $3,000 award.

Alabama Junior Miss Scholarship

Description

Maximum award is given to Alabama's Junior Miss. Other awards go to top 10 finalists and two selected participants in talent competition.

Gorgas Foundation Inc. Scholarship

Description

Awarded to the winner of the Alabama Science Competition.

Leadership Service Grant

Description

Applicant must have made contributions in co-curricular and service activities.

Music Ensemble Scholarship

Description

Awarded to non-music majors based on audition. Selected applicants must participate in ensemble to be eligible.

Honors Scholarship

Description

Applicant must have a minimum 3.75 GPA and have a minimum composite ACT score of 27 (combined SAT score of 1220).

Methodist Clergy Scholarship

Description

Applicant must be the child of a Methodist minister and submit identification and request for consideration in writing. Applicant's Resident Bishop must provide written verification of parent's active status and church affiliation by February 15.
