Academic Award

Description

Applicant must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA, rank in the top third of class and have a minimum combined SAT score of 1650 (ACT score of 23).

M.A. Cartland Shackford Medical Fellowship

Description

Applicant must be a woman, a graduate of an American institution, and be planning a career in medicine, preferably in general practice, not psychiatry.

Anne Louise Barrett Fellowship

Description

Applicant must be a woman and a graduate of Wellesley and be planning for full-time graduate study abroad or in the U.S. Selection is based upon merit and need. Preference is given to applicants who will be studying/researching music composition, history, or theory.

Margaret Freeman Bowers Fellowship

Description

Applicant must be a woman and a graduate of Wellesley Coll who is planning for her first year of full-time graduate study in the field of law, public policy/public administration, or social work, including M.Bus.Admin. candidates planning a career in social services. Selection is based upon merit and financial need. Preference is given to applicants who have not previously held the award.

Professor Elizabeth F. Fisher Fellowship

Description

Applicant must be a woman and a graduate of Wellesley Coll who is planning research or further study. Preference is given for study in geography and geology and to those who have not previously held the award. Selection is based upon merit and need.

Ruth Ingersoll Goldmark Fellowship

Description

Applicant must be a woman and a graduate of Wellesley Coll who plans further study. Preference is given to those who have not previously held the award. Selection is based upon merit and need.

Horton-Hallowell Fellowship

Description

Applicant must be a woman and a graduate of Wellesley Coll who plans graduate study in any field, preferably in last two years of candidacy for Ph.D. or equivalent, or for private research of equivalent standard. Preference is given to those who have not previously held the award. Selection is based upon merit and need.

Edna V. Moffett Fellowship

Description

Applicant must be a young alumna of Wellesley College planning a first year of study, preferably in history. Preference is given to those who have not previously held the award. Selection is based upon merit and need.

Alice Freeman Palmer Fellowship

Description

Applicant must be a woman, a graduate of Wellesley College, age 26 or under at time of appointment, and unmarried throughout tenure who is planning research or study abroad or in the U.S. Preference is given to those who have not previously held the award. Selection is based upon merit and need.

Vida Dutton Scudder Fellowship

Description

Applicant must be a woman and a graduate of Wellesley College who plans further study. Preference is given to those who have not previously held the award. Selection is based upon merit and need.

Harriet A. Shaw Fellowship

Description

Applicant must be a woman and a graduate of Wellesley College who plans to pursue further study or research abroad or in the U.S. Preference is given to music applicants and to those who have not previously held the award. Other applicants must have undergraduate background in art history. Selection is based upon merit and need.
