ACLS Fellowship

Description

    Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, have held the Ph.D. for at least two years, and have not had a supported research leave for at least three years. Award is for postdoctoral research in all disciplines of the humanities and humanities-related social sciences. Applications must be submitted through the ACLS Online Fellowship Application system (OFA). OFA is accessible through the Fellowship and Grant Programs section of the web site.

Operations and Power Division (OPD) Scholarship

Description

    Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident enrolled in a course of study relating to a degree in nuclear science and technology. Applicant must be sponsored by an ANS local section, division, student branch, committee member or organization member.

Description

    Applicant must be a woman and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Applicant must be in an ABET-accredited engineering program, engineering at SWE-approved institution, or computer science in a CSAB-accredited program or at an ABET-accredited or SWE-approved institution.

Community Action Grant

Description

    Applicant must be a woman and a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Proposed activity must have direct community or public impact and relate to education and equity for women and girls. Applicant may apply for one grant only. One-year grants ($2,000-$7000 over one year) provide seed money for new projects. Two year grants (5,000-10,000 over two years) provide start-up funds for longer-term programs that address the particular needs of the community and develop girls' sense of efficacy through leadership or advocacy opportunities.

Eleanor Roosevelt Teacher Fellowship

Description

    Applicant must be a woman, elementary or secondary public school teacher, U.S. citizen, dedicated to improving educational opportunities for women of all ages, presently employed with at least three years full-time teaching experience, and planning to continue teaching for the next three years. Award supports professional development for teachers, educational opportunities for girls, and advancement of gender equity in the classroom, school, or district.

Hatton Lovejoy Scholarship

Description

    Applicant must be a resident of Troup County, GA for at least two years. Applicant must be a graduate of (or scheduled graduation within six months) of an accredited high school with a scholastic standing in the upper quarter of their class.

Appaloosa Youth Foundation Educational Scholarship

Description

    Applicant must be a member of the Appaloosa Youth Association or the Appaloosa Horse Club or the child of a Appaloosa Horse Club member. Selection is based upon scholastic aptitude, leadership potential, sportsmanship, community and civic responsibilities, and accomplishments in horsemanship.

Description

    Applicant must be a current or prospective graduate student members of ASPRS. Recipient must use award to pursue graduate studies in new and innovative uses of remote sensing data/techniques that relate to the natural, cultural, or agricultural resources of the earth.

Description

    Applicant must be a minority, have a high composite ACT score, and participate in the Minority Achievement Program, and be in top 10% of high school class. Applicant must enroll first semester after high school graduation.

    Applicant must rank in the top fifth (20%) of secondary school class and have a minimum 26 ACT score, must be recommended by his/her local alumni chapter.
