American Physical Society Scholarship for Undergraduate Physics Majors

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident of black, Hispanic, or Native American descent. Applicant must be a college freshman or sophomore studying physics. Minimum award amount is granted to new applicants; maximum award amount for recipients looking to renew their award.
Fountainhead Essay Contest
Description

Applicant must be a junior or senior high school student. Essay must be between 800 and 1,600 words in length. Only one entry per student will be accepted. Contest is open worldwide. No application is required.
Army ROTC Scholarship
Description

Applicant must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and be a full-time student. Applicant must attend an interview and pass a physical test, written exam, and free physical exam given by a local doctor. Recipient who accepts a two-, three-, or four-year scholarship will train to receive a commission as Second Lieutenant in the regular U.S. Army, Army Reserve, or Army National Guard.
Army ROTC Supplemental Scholarship

Applicant must be a recipient of a two-, three-, or four-year Army ROTC scholarship. Selection is based upon academic excellence, military potential, and financial need.
Harold E. Ennes/Robert Greenberg Scholarship
Description

Applicant must have a career interest in the technical aspects of broadcasting and must be recommended by two members of the SBE. Preference is given to SBE members and applicants who are employed at least part-time in broadcast engineering. Recipient must submit 400- to 500-word technical paper on broadcast engineering topic at end of award term.
Miss America Scholar

Applicant must enter a local Miss America competition, advance to the state competition, and then enter national competition. Applicant must be a woman, high school graduate, never been married, of good moral character, and a U.S. citizen.
L. Gordon Bittle Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a current active member of the California Teachers Association who is pursuing a career in public education.
Mary Morrow/Edna Richards Scholarship

Applicant must be a North Carolina resident enrolled in a teacher-education program. Applicant must be in their junior year of college and be willing to teach in the public schools of North Carolina for a minimum of two years following graduation.
ASAA, Inc. Scholarship

Applicant must be of Armenian ancestry, be a full-time student attending a four-year, accredited college or university in the U.S., and have completed at least the first year of college. Selection is based upon financial need, academic performance, ability for self-help, and participation in extracurricular activities. Applicant must submit CSS Profile Form. Request scholarship application in the fall.

Selection is based upon scholastic excellence and outstanding character. SAT Reasoning or ACT required. Send self-addressed stamped envelope (#10) with a $3.00 handling fee for application and information packet.
Health Careers Scholarship

Applicant must be a U.S. or Canadian citizen enrolled full time in an accredited school of study in the U.S. or Canada and submit resume, official transcripts, an itemized budget endorsed by the school's financial aid officer, and two letters of recommendation. Pre-med students are not eligible. Enclose two stamped, self-addressed, business-sized envelopes with inquiry.
